YOU GOTTA HAVE FRIENDS

Check out the July issue of Reader's Digest to read Carolyn Dawn Johnson's story of her special friendship with songwriter Al Anderson. In a feature called "Friends For Life," Carolyn calls the noted writer/guitarist and longtime member of the band NRBQ "a great big teddy bear." Carolyn says Al believed in her during her early days in Nashville. "The money he paid me for the demos - more than anyone else paid - helped me buy groceries when I was literally living on pennies. But most important, his belief in me gave me the confidence and determination to stick with my goal of making it in the industry."
