Why Do Dustin Lynch’s Fans Know All the Words?

“They’ve been doing their homework on YouTube,” Dustin says. “It’s pretty neat.”

Dustin Lynch has a huge hit with "Cowboys and Angels," but he just put out his debut album this week.

So how do some fans who go to see his shows know all the words to all the songs? In a word, Dustin tells ABC Radio News: YouTube.

"What's magical about that is they're hearing 'Cowboys and Angels,' and something tells 'em to go online and look for more," he said.

"Now that we're playing this new record out on the road, we're starting to see the new songs pop up. It's fun to see. You can see when something catches on YouTube, 'cause there's gonna be a few people in the crowd that know all the songs, and all the lyrics to all the songs.

"You have to go, 'They've been doing their homework on YouTube.' It's pretty neat."
