Whitney Booted from Survivor, Cops To Romance With Keith

“I’m gonna follow my heart and I’ll deal with the consequences when I get back home.”

It could be a country song: Country artist Whitney Duncan didn’t get the $1 million Survivor prize, but she scored a romantic relationship from her experience on the CBS reality show.

Whitney got bounced to Redemption Island after tribemate John Cochran turned on her after the merge. And Whitney, in the episode that aired Wednesday (Nov. 30), lost a challenge that would’ve kept her alive in the game.

In an interview on the Survivor site, Whitney said she learned a lot about herself and dealing with others. She also said she fell for Keith—and that romance kicked off lots of media reports about Whitney being in a secret marriage before she got on the show, a marriage that is ending in a Tennessee court. Whitney didn’t talk about the controversy, but she did cop to her romance with Keith.

“I didn’t want romance. I didn’t. But you know what? I came out here and who knew that this would happen?” she said.

“I do like Keith. And at some point, I just said, you know what? I’m gonna take my life day by day, I’m gonna follow my heart and I’ll deal with the consequences when I get back home. And I’ll put my life together and figure out some things.

"Yeah, I think some Savaii [tribe members] think there’s going to be a wedding to attend to. Dawn says she just wants to be a flower girl . . . We’ll see what happens.”
