So Taylor Swift’s mother, Andrea, has become something of a beloved character, “Mama Swifty,” among Taylor’s army of fans.

Well, make way for “Mama Underwood,” one Carole Underwood, who has really kept behind the scenes since Carrie’s meteoric rise post-American Idol.

Carrie features Mom in the video for “Mama’s Song,” which debuts Friday (Sept. 24) on vevo.com.

Among the lyrics is a reference to Carrie’s recent marriage to NHL player Mike Fisher: Mama you taught me to do the right things / So now you have to let your baby fly / And I know you watch me grow up and always want what’s best for me / And I think I found the answer to your prayers / And he is good, so good / He treats your little girl like a real man should.

The video for the song was released today (Friday, September 24).
