Not long after “Redneck Crazy” became a gold-selling single for Tyler Farr comes the news that the chart-topping tune has now gone platinum.

It comes as no surprise after the amount of success of “Redneck Crazy” has brought for Tyler. His debut album of the same name is tied for the highest-charting debut album in 2013 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart by a new male country artist.

Well, the exciting news just keeps coming for the newcomer. Tyler is among the nominees to perform at the Country Radio Seminar 2014 New Faces of Country Music Show, which will be held in Nashville on Feb. 21 during CRS and puts young country artists in front of an audience of country radio tastemakers. The voting concludes Nov. 27.

Tyler is currently on tour with Florida Georgia Line on their Here's to the Good Times Tour, and is scheduled to begin touring with Jason Aldean in 2014. His latest single, “Whiskey in my Water,” hit country radio earlier this month and was the most-added song at country radio its first week out.
