Twice the Fun for Emerson Drive

Emerson Drive helped honor the writers of their No. 1 hit “Moments” at a pair of music industry parties, July 30.

The band started the day at Nashville’s ASCAP offices, where co-writer Dave Berg was honored for his contribution to the song. “Over the last two months,” said Emerson Drive lead vocalist Brad Mates, “it seems like the party’s been going on. Thanks for writing such a great song.” During the late afternoon, the festivities moved to the SESAC building to celebrate the husband-and-wife writing team of Sam and Annie Tate. The band performed the song before Brad told the assembled crowd, “To be the artist that gets to do this song night after night is such an incredible feeling.”
