TV Talk: John Rich, Richard Hatch Battle

John Rich and original Survivor champ Richard Hatch battled on last night's Celebrity Apprentice. At issue on the March 21 broadcast: country music fans.

John suggested some twangy tunes for jingles to promote outdoor camping recreational vehicles and Richard bristled. "Not country, not backward. Less educated," Richard said.

John snapped. "I will not be happy if anybody stereotypes my audience as low intelligence or folks that can't think or [don't] have their own money," he said. "And if anyone in this van wants to step in on that subject, I will be more than happy to square off with you about that. Please be careful when talking about my audience."

John said to camera: "Seriously, do not disrespect country music fans. Don't do it."

The guys' team won the competition, in no small part due to the jingle that John did create for the competition. It generated such a buzz that Donald Trump asked John to perform it in the boardroom, perhaps the first time country music has blasted through a Trump business meeting.
