Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks Planning Joint Tour

Trisha Yearwood has plans for album and tour with husband Garth Brooks.

Trisha Yearwood and husband Garth Brooks will likely be teaming up for an album and eventual tour together. Trisha revealed her plans in an interview with CBS This Morning, Thursday (Aug. 22).

A joint album and tour are in the developing stages, Trisha told host Jeff Glor. “It’ll be a whole different ballgame, you know, as man and wife, to do this together,” she said. “So, I’m looking forward to it.” When asked if there would be both an album and tour, Trisha answered, “That is part of the plan.”

Trisha also hinted at a collaboration with Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson. “We have become friends and I love both of them,” Trisha said on the program. “And we have been toying with the idea of working together. And Kelly’s working on a little something that we sang on.” That, Trisha clarified, is a one-song partnership and not an entire album, at least at this point.

Trisha has become equally well-known for her cooking, as she’s authored a pair of cookbooks and hosted her own Food Network show. But music will always come first, she told CBS This Morning.

“I feel like this is what God put me on the planet to do,” Trisha said. “I really do believe that is what feeds my soul.”
