Trick Pony Singer Rides Away

Aubrey Collins, female vocalist for the trio Trick Pony, has left the band, according to Country Aircheck.

Aubrey joined Trick Pony mainstays Keith Burns and Ira Dean earlier this year, after replacing original lead vocalist Heidi Newfield, who left in 2006 to pursue a solo career. The threesome wrote several songs together but did not release a single or CD. “I really enjoyed my time working with Keith and Ira,” said Aubrey. “I have always believed I am a solo artist and I have to pursue my gut feelings.” With Heidi as the lead singer, Trick Pony scored such hits as “Pour Me” and “On a Night Like This.”
