TRIAL SET FOR MAN ACCUSED OF KIDNAPPING GARTH’S EX

A man arrested for allegedly abducting Garth Brooks’ ex-wife, Sandy, has been ordered to stand trial.

Quintine Cornelius Harper, 28, is accused of kidnapping Sandy in a scheme to extort $16,000 from her. Prosecutors say he abducted her at gunpoint from her Oklahoma home on April 3 and forced her to drive about six miles before she managed to escape. Harper will be arraigned on a charge of kidnapping for extortion on Aug. 17, and is also charged with pointing a firearm at a bounty hunter and bondsman during the incident.
