As Hurricane Rita roars toward the Texas Gulf Coast, Beaumont resident Tracy Byrd is doing what more than a million other Texans are doing—evacuating with his family. Like his buddy Mark Chesnutt, Tracy is a native of the Beaumont area and he is taking Rita very seriously—but not just because he also has a weekend home on Galveston beach. Tracy, you and all others in Rita's path are in our thoughts and prayers.
