Trace Will Poke Fun at Petite Co-Host Kristin Chenoweth’s “Shortcomings”

Trace Adkins and Kristin to co-host upcoming American Country Awards show on Fox network.

By certain calculations, Trace Adkins towers 19 inches above Broadway star-turned-aspiring country star Kristin Chenoweth.

And Trace and producers of this year's Fox network-hosted American Country Awards will explore the height difference when Trace and Kristin co-host the show Monday night (Dec. 5).

"I'm gonna have to bring that to her attention—her shortcomings," he said during a teleconference with reporters Tuesday (Nov. 29).

"Perhaps someone will have to carry around an apple box for her, I don't know," Trace continued. "She's very funny and very pretty, and she is very petite, so that could be an interesting contrast."

The second annual fan-voted ACA show airs live Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
