TRACE TALKS NEW CD

Trace Adkins says that his new CD Dangerous Man, set for release August 15, has a variety of themes.

In addition to the current single “Swing,” the CD includes tributes to his Southern roots like “Ladies Love Country Boys” to emotion-filled songs like “The Stubborn One.” That song, Trace explains, is “about a dying grandfather.” He adds that he can barely get through the number when he performs it in concert. Trace also hints that he’d like to try his hand at movies, particularly a western. “I don’t care if I’m the first guy that gets shot in the movie,” says Trace. “I just want to ride a horse and shoot a gun.” He was up for the lead role in the NBC series My Name Is Earl, but decided not to take the part.
