Trace Stars In New Movie
Trace Adkins has been selected for a role in the upcoming comedy film, American Carol.

The movie is a takeoff on the Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol. Trace is set to play the role of The Spirit of Christmas Future, also known as the Grim Reaper, who uses his special musical abilities to help Scrooge avoid a tragic end. Kelsey Grammer stars in the movie while Jon Voight, Leslie Nielsen and Dennis Hopper make cameo appearances. A release date has not been announced.

“Country’s Night to Rock” airs on ABC, Aug. 12.
