TRACE HITS DOUBLE PLATINUM

Trace Adkins can now celebrate a new milestone in his 10-year career, his first double platinum album.

Trace’s CD Songs About Me has just reached the double platinum level, marking sales of two million copies. The CD was fueled by this year’s smash hit, “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk,” along with the title tune. “What a great thing to have happen in my 10th year in this business,” says the rugged singer. Trace also performed at the release party for the new compilation CD, Songs of the Year, Monday night, Oct. 2, at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. Trace played his selection from the album, his version of the Johnny Cash No.1 “Sunday Morning Coming Down.” “The first thing I thought about when I picked this song was seeing Johnny sing it on TV,” Trace recalled. Songs of the Year, which features new versions of 12 all-time classic hits, will be released Tuesday, Oct. 3, exclusively at 547 Cracker Barrel locations nationwide and at crackerbarrel.com.
