TRACE CLEANS UP HIS SONG FOR RADIO

If you have an early copy of Trace Adkins new single, "Rough & Ready," hold on to it because it'll soon be a collector's item. Trace's label, Capitol Nashville, decided that the song's lyrics were inappropriate for country radio and asked the songwriters to re-write the tune. Writers Craig Wiseman, Blair Mackichan and Brian White replaced the word "a**hole" with "pretty boy" - and the phrase "life's a b*tch" with "makes me itch." "We're re-issuing the album which will also contain a new CD booklet with new lyrics," says Capitol Nashville's Rick Young. "We know broadcasters are very concerned, and we're deadly serious about this."
