Trace Celebrates His No. 1

Trace Adkins celebrated the success of his No. 1 single, “Ladies Love Country Boys,” at an industry party in Nashville, May 10.

Trace recalled that the song basically mirrored the love story between him and wife Rhonda. “Rhonda grew up in Chicago, well-to-do family, well-educated, degrees in two things,” Trace said with a laugh. “That’s what this song reminds me of, when her parents first met me. They were very nice and everything, but they were horrified. But everything worked out great.” Trace’s in-laws attended the big party at Dan McGuinness Pub, along with Rhonda and three of Trace’s daughters.
