Trace Adkins Records a Christmas Classic

The Christmas holidays are almost upon us and Trace Adkins is getting in the spirit with his Celtic-influenced recording of the classic “We Three Kings.” The song will be available for download on iTunes and all digital retailers next week.

The Grand Ole Opry member will perform “We Three Kings” for a national audience during NBC’s Christmas in Rockefeller Plaza tree lighting special in New York City, which airsNov. 28 at 8 p.m. ET. Prior to that, Trace will join the lineup for the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, also on NBC Thanksgiving morning.

“The holidays are about honoring tradition and thinking of others,” says Trace, in previewing his Christmas single. “These important men of power humbled themselves by bringing gifts to an infant in meager surroundings because they believed. It’s a good reminder of what the Christmas spirit is really about.”

Fans can catch the busy Trace when he pairs up with Kristin Chenoweth to host the American Country Awards, airing Dec. 10 on Fox. In 2013, he will be heading back into Donald Trump’s boardroom with the new cast of NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice: All-Stars, which is scheduled to premiere in March, and also has plans to release his 11th studio album in 2013.
