Trace Adkins Receives Award for Excellence

Came from Congressional Medal of Honor Society.

Trace Adkins was honored with the Bob Hope Award for Excellence in Entertainment by the Congressional Medal of Honor Society during their annual Patriot Awards dinner. The event was held in Louisville, Ky., on Saturday (Oct. 1).

The event was held to "recognize those individuals who life’s work, accomplishments, and dedication to American freedom [align with] the ideals of the Congressional Medal of Honor Society," according to a press release.

Meanwhile, Trace will add another movie role to his résumé soon. He's filming the supernatural thriller The Healer, in which he plays the Truck Driver, a character whose job is to escort people to hell. The movie is currently shooting in North Carolina and is tentatively scheduled for a 2012 release.
