Trace Adkins has never been shy about talking politics—or anything else, for that matter—in public.

His latest stand is for the National Rifle Association, and Trace is NRA Country's spokesman for January.

"I'm a lifetime member of the NRA. I'm proud of that," Trace declares on the NRA Country website. "I'm also proud of my association with NRA Country."

The video then shows Trace gripping a rifle for a photo shoot.

On the same website page, Trace is quoted as saying, "I support NRA Country because they share my love of the outdoors and my wish to safeguard America's hunting heritage."
