Get well wishes go out to Trace Adkins, who was admitted to a local hospital in Morton, Minnesota, last Friday, Sept. 16, following his concert performance earlier in the evening. According to his publicist, Schatzi Hageman, Trace had been experiencing abdominal pain for two days prior and entered the hospital for treatment before heading to the next venue. Doctors diagnosed Trace with an abdominal inflammatory infection and emergency surgery was performed. The procedure was a success and doctors are expecting a full recovery with no post-operative complications. Trace responded favorably to the surgery and is in good condition. To date, previously scheduled concerts have been cancelled including Ashland, Ohio (Sept. 21) and Centerville, Mich. (Sept. 24). This morning, Hageman added that Trace was "still in good condition, in good spirits and resting comfortably at an undisclosed hospital."
