Toby's Tourney Raises Another $664,000 for Kids

Event brings total to about $3.7 million for a center for children with cancer—and their families.

Toby Keith helped break ground and raised another $664,000 this past weekend for a center for pediatric cancer patients and their families.

The Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic raised $14,000 more than last year, bringing the total for the OK Kids Korral to about $3.7 million. Organizers say they need to bring that total to about $9.5 million in the next 18 months to finish the center in Oklahoma City.

Toby is determined.

"We're gonna build it one way or another if I have to build it myself," he said at the groundbreaking, according to newsok.com.

The OK Kids Korral will have day rooms and overnight suites for families of kids who are getting treatment for cancer at nearby hospitals. And a lodge next to it will have a kitchen, dining hall, playgrounds and a movie theater.
