In a recent interview with Country Weekly contributor Joseph Hudak, Toby Keith revealed that he and Trace Adkins, his touring partner for the past two summers, will part ways at the end of this year’s trek . . . at least for the near future.

"We’re not going to do it next year. We’ll probably give it a break,” Toby says. “But I can see us going at it again, after we get a couple years separation [between tours].”

The duo’s current double bill has been wowing crowds across the country, drawing fans of the tall twosome out of the house to spend some of their hard-earned money. “We’ve been having a pretty good summer,” Toby says. “I was surprised with the economy the way it is that we’ve [brought out fans] like we have. But I guess people are still going to get out. They may quit traveling as much, but if it’s something local, they will still make it once in a while.”

The tour wraps up on Sept. 25 in Massachusetts.
