Toby Keith has placed third on the Forbes magazine list of the world’s top earning musicians, taking in $48 million this past year.

Toby reached the figure through a combination of concert tours, his endorsement deal with the Ford Motor Company and a chain of successful restaurants that bear his name. Topping the Forbes list is rock band the Police with $115 million, followed by R&B star Beyonce Knowles, who took in $80 million during the past year. Rounding out the top five are pop stars Justin Timberlake and Madonna.
