TOBY KEITH...OLYMPIC CURLER?

Toby Keith never tires of finding new challenges to overcome.

Need proof? Not content to be a wildly successful, singer, songwriter and businessman, Toby and some of his buddies have recently developed quite an interest in a sport seldom seen in his native Oklahoma--curling. Since watching curling on his bus during the Winter Olympics, Toby's gotten so into the sport--the one with the 42-pound granite rocks and the sweepers trotting along clearing the pathway for the sliding object--that he recently rented a Nashville ice rink after hours and invited Canadian curling champ Sean Gerster to give him and his buddies a lesson. Sean's in the Nashville Curling Club, which narrowly defeated Toby's "team" 3-2 in a friendly competition. Toby's now squeezing practice sessions into his tour schedule, and he expects to eventually enter some tournaments--with the ultimate goal being...competing in the 2010 Winter Olympics! And don't bet against him. Toby's been able to achieve pretty much anything he's set his mind to.
