You'd think Taylor Swift would be making the most money in the country music world, wouldn't you? She's everywhere, including Covergirl commercials and The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and Taylor grosses more than $750,000 at each concert.
But, according to Forbes magazine, Toby Keith has a huge sponsorship deal with Ford and a line of I Love This Bar & Grill restaurants that helped him gross $50 million in the last 12 months, edging out Taylor Swift by more than $5 million.
A fairly close third: Brad Paisley almost doubled last year's earnings, bringing in $40 million, Forbes says.
The rest of the top 10:
Tim McGraw brought in $35 million; Rascal Flatts, $34 million; Kenny Chesney, last year's top country earner, $30 million; George Strait, $24 million; Alan Jackson, $22 million; Carrie Underwood, $20 million; and Sugarland, $18 million.
