Toby Keith: Gays Should Be Able to Serve in Military

Toby tells CMT also says he doesn’t understand why people try to stop gay marriage.

Toby Keith has often said fans shouldn’t ever pigeonhole him as having one political bent or another, and he has proven his unpredictability yet again.

In an interview airing this weekend on CMT Insider, Toby says blocking gay marriage is a waste of time and money.

The singer says refusing marriage licenses to gays won’t stop them from living together, so it doesn't accomplish anything.

Toby also says gays should be able to serve openly in the the military, which should be open to anyone with training and passion to serve the country.

“Somebody’s sexual preference is, like, who cares?” he says.
