TIM'S MONDAY NIGHT LIGHTS

Tonight in the Nashville suburb of Franklin, Tenn., Tim McGraw will hold the premiere of his major motion picture debut, "Friday Night Lights," which opens nationally this Friday. Tim plays the part of Charlie Billingsley, an alcoholic father of a high school quarterback in Odessa, Tx. Tim tells The Odessa American that the role came easily to him. "I didn't have to work to get into Charlie's skin. I like to think he's so different than me. It was easy just to shut me off and not let me get in the way. If he'd been more like me, it would have been harder to get into it. I'd have gotten in the way of it." Also expected on the red carpet at tonight's premiere are Tim's wife, Faith Hill, and Big & Rich, Kix Brooks, Kenny Chesney, Martina McBride, Troy Gentry, the Warren Brothers, plus members of the Tennessee Titans football team.
