Tim Writes New Single For ‘80s Rockers

Tim McGraw has taken his songwriting to a new level, co-writing the single "Nine Lives" for famed ‘80’s rock band, Def Leppard.

Tim wrote the song with band members Phil Collen, Joe Elliott and Rick Savage. "Nine Lives" is the first single from the band's upcoming album, Songs From the Sparkle Lounge. Tim initiated the co-write idea through his tour manager Robert Allen, the brother of Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen. "We didn't start with any preconceived notions about the song," says Tim. "Each of us brought something different to the table and we drew on each other's influence to finish it out. They are simply one of the best rock bands ever and it was a great time working together." The English hard rock band is best known for ‘80s hits like "Photograph," "Hysteria" and "Pour Some Sugar on Me."
