Tim McGraw Set for “Superstar” Special

Tim McGraw is inviting some of his celebrity pals for an exciting, star-packed television special, ACM presents: Tim McGraw's Superstar Summer Night, which will be taped at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Monday, April 8. The show will air on CBS at a later date to be determined.

Tim will have the honor of hand-selecting some of the hottest music of the summer and calling on his celebrity friends to help kick off the 2013 touring season. The two-hour concert is set to feature performances and collaborations from the stars of country and rock, along with a few surprise guests from television and film. Proceeds from the show will benefit ACM Lifting Lives, an organization that Tim worked closely with during his last tour.

"I hope I can help turn the fans on to some of the best live music that will be on the road this summer," Tim noted in a statement about the special. "I also feel a responsibility to help raise money and awareness for ACM Lifting Lives and the good work they do." ACM Lifting Lives helped support Tim's summer tour in 2012 with its HomeFront program, which gave away a home to a U.S. military veteran in need in every market on the tour.

Guest performers for ACM Presents: Tim McGraw's Superstar Summer Night will be announced soon.
