Tim McGraw Remembers Shooting Victims During Denver Concert

"We're praying for y'all," says Tim.

The show must go on, but during his performance in Denver on Friday (July 21), as part of the Brothers of the Sun Tour, Tim McGraw took a moment to remember those killed in the recent theater shooting in nearby Aurora, Colo., where 12 people were killed and many others injured.

"I'm thinking about y'all and we're praying for y'all," Tim said. "Our job tonight is to come out here for just a little while and put a smile on your face, to cut loose, have a good time and have a party in remembrance of the fine, fine folks who lost their lives a couple of days ago." Before kicking off his portion of the show, which Tim co-headlines with Kenny Chesney, Tim launched into the classic Christian rock song by Petra, "More Power to Ya."

The song's lyrics, which include O be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might / Put on all His armor and fight the good fight / In all of our weakness, He becomes so strong / When He gives us the power and the strength to carry on, were lyrics of strength and healing to the crowd.
