Tim McGraw Goes Uptown for AmEx Event

McGraw, Tim

He might still be jetlagged from his first-ever tour of Australia, but Tim McGraw will be the star of a fancy-shmancy wine-food outing next week at a fancy-shmancy hotel here in Nashville.

American Express has started a high-profile and highfalutin series called “Pairings: Food + Wine + Music,” where a famous singer performs at a night catered by a well-known chef and winemaker.

On Wednesday (Sept. 29), Tim performs at Nashville’s Union Station hotel while Texas-based chef Tim Love feeds the good folks and Ravenswood winemaker Joel “Godfather of Zin” Peterson wines ’em.

We’re not sure who drives ’em home.

Other artists who have participated in the series include Dave Matthews and John Legend.
