TIM McGRAW, ELTON JOHN TO SING DUET ON AMAs

Tim Mcgraw has been a fan of Elton John for a long time. He's performed Elton's "Tiny Dancer" at his live shows for years, and included the track in his latest album, Tim McGraw and the Dancehall Doctors.

Elton not only approved of the idea - he encouraged Tim to put the track on his album, and was even going to play the piano for the project - but his schedule wouldn't allow it.

When Tim received a nomination in this year's AMA awards, and an invitation to perform on the show, he decided to call up Elton to see if he would be interested in joining him. Elton agreed immediately.

The show airs on ABC at 8pm on January 13, and the Tim McGraw, Elton John duet will open the show.

Tim and Elton should be comfortable with this arrangement -- this is not the first time they've performed together. They sang "Tiny Dancer" at the Andre Agassi Foundation banquet. Says Tim: "Faith has a picture of me up there grinning from ear to ear."
