TIM McGRAW DEBUTS AT THE OPRY

Tim McGraw made his debut at the Grand Ole Opry in style -- he wore a leather shirt, embroidered with roses and beadwork.

The handmade shirt had been sitting in McGraw's closet for a couple of years, because Tim couldn't find a suitable venue to debut the creation -- until Opry night.

Tim even got to have a little fun at the expense of Porter Wagoner, who is known for his flashy attire. When Wagoner introduced Tim on the stage of the Ryman Auditorium, McGraw joked, "Thanks for the shirt."

After the show, Tim and the Dancehall Doctors relaxed at a local lounge and celebrated Tim's Opry appearance and the debut of their new album.

Tim is scheduled to be a presenter at next Monday's Billboard Music Awards.
