Tim McGraw added to his list of No. 1 singles when "Highway Don't Care" recently topped the charts, and Tim marked the accomplishment at a party at Nashville restaurant The Tippler, Tuesday afternoon (Aug. 20). On hand to celebrate with Tim were three of the song's writers, Brad and Brett Warren and Mark Irwin. Co-writer Josh Kear was out of the country and unable to attend.

Tim recorded the song with Taylor Swift on backing vocals and Keith Urban on guitar. Tim told reporters before the party that he wanted Taylor and Keith for the song after he first heard it. "I think Taylor is one of those rare talents who comes along every so often," Tim said. "And Keith can do everything." Tim added that his current single, "Southern Girl," went over well in concert, making it an easy decision to release it as a single. "We played seven or eight off the new album [Two Lanes of Freedom] and that one really stuck out as far as the reaction it got from fans," Tim said.

Tim and wife Faith Hill are also set to resume their series of intimate Soul2Soul shows in Las Vegas later this year. Tim observed that the Vegas shows offer "the best of both worlds" for him. "I get to sing with my wife," he noted with a smile. "And it's a limited series so it allows us to spend plenty of time at home."
