Tim McGraw Announces New “Sundown Heaven Town” Album and Special Online Promotion

Tim McGraw is riding a red-hot rocket with his fun-loving tune “Lookin’ for That Girl.” The song is headed for Tim's new album, Sundown Heaven Town, which he is set for a Sept. 16 release.

Tim plans to launch a unique new program called “Countdown to Sundown” to promote the album, beginning Sunday night, April 6. When fans use the Shazam smartphone app during his performance on the Academy of Country Music Awards show, they can join the Countdown program and have access to exclusive content. They will also be entered to win a season pass for two tickets to each of Tim’s Sundown Heaven summer tour dates, including an all-expenses-paid trip to the opening-night show on May 8. Kip Moore and Cassadee Pope will join Tim for the 30-city trek. Other perks from the promotion will be available as the release date gets closer, including first listens to new material and access to free downloads.

“I’m in the unique position this year that I’m able to tour ahead of the album and introduce the fans to these songs early,” Tim said in a release about the album. “I’ve never done anything like this before, but in a world driven by immediate gratification, I want to be able to play a song live somewhere and then have it available for download right then.”
