Tim Kicks Off Program for Troops With a Rowdy Show

He performs for service members during Fleet Week to kick off his Operation Homefront.

New York City's Beacon Theatre was packed with service members from each branch of the military, in town for the annual Fleet Week.

And Tim McGraw didn't disappoint, putting on a hit-filled rowdy show Monday (May 28) for soldiers, airmen, sailors and Marines.

Wearing a Captain America shield logo on his T-shirt, Tim told the crowd, "We appreciate you, we love you, we love your families—we love everything about you!"

The show—seen live on military bases through The Pentagon Channel—kicked off Tim's Operation Homefront, which will give mortgage-free houses to veterans wounded in the line of duty. Those homes will be given away at every stop of his Brothers of the Sun tour with Kenny Chesney this summer.

That tour kicks off Saturday (June 2) in Tampa, Fla.
