Tim Helps Big Kenny Celebrate

Tim McGraw was on hand as his buddy Big Kenny of Big & Rich was honored as the writer of Tim’s No. 1 hit, “Last Dollar (Fly Away),” April 24.

Tim and Big Kenny celebrated along with a large crowd at Nashville’s BMI headquarters. Tim, who had to exit early because of a family commitment, praised Kenny as “an amazing writer. He’s a great guy and a great talent.” Kenny in turn remarked that, “Tim has been one of the most influential people in my career.” He thanked Tim for taking Big & Rich on the road with him when the duo was still relatively unknown. “And he paid us!” Kenny added with a laugh. Kenny also made generous donations to several charitable organizations during the ceremony.
