Tim Gets Tough Question Down Under

McGraw, Tim

Call him international superstar Tim McGraw as Tim has launched his first-ever tour in Australia.

Turns out the press will throw him a hard question overseas as well. In an appearance on the Aussie version of the Today show, the interviewer mentioned that country music is for common folk, “many of whom have it pretty rough these days,” he said.

“You’re wealthy beyond your wildest dreams,” the interviewer said. “Is it hard to reconcile those two?”

Tim didn’t flinch.

“I came from nothing,” he said. “I came from a small town in Louisiana, and I grew up in a farming community where you struggled to make ends meet, and didn’t make ends meet a lot of times.”

Tim played Brisbane today (Sept. 16), and he’s set to play Melbourne on Sunday and Sydney on Tuesday.
