TIM & FAITH MAKE TOUR HISTORY

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s Soul2Soul II Tour will top out at $88.6 million, making it the highest-grossing tour in country history.

Neil Haislop’s Nashville IQ reports the latest figures from Pollstar, which has Tim and Faith taking the lead over pop superstar Madonna as the top North American tour of 2006 overall. The final tour rankings will not be announced until November. The couple will definitely claim the No. 1 spot in country for 2006, and will shatter the record set by Kenny Chesney’s 2005 tour, which took in just under $62 million. The Soul2Soul II Tour closed this past weekend, Sept. 1–Sept. 3, in Las Vegas.
