Tim and Taylor to Be Part of Cancer-Battling Telethon

They join Jennifer Nettles, Gwyneth Paltrow, Katie Couric, Samuel L. Jackson and Alison Sweeney in the fight.

Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift and Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles are part of an A-list of stars set to appear on a cancer-battling telethon Sept. 7 that includes all four major broadcast networks.

The whole TV effort is being put together by Tim's Country Strong co-star Gwyneth Paltrow, and it's the third benefit for Stand Up to Cancer, a group co-founded by Katie Couric after her husband died of colorectal cancer.

The telethon airs Sept. 7  at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and cable channels E!, Encore, HBO, TBS, VH1 and others.

What a lineup: Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Michael Douglas, Jessica Biel, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner, Seth Rogen, Emma Stone, Coldplay, Alicia Keys, Chelsea Handler, Marg Helgenberger, Rashida Jones, Minka Kelly, Joe Manganiello, Jillian Michaels, Alison Sweeney and others will appear.
