T.I. Talks Recent Concert Duet With Taylor Swift

“My biggest thing about walkin’ on that stage was ‘Don't curse.’” says T.I.

It was a surprising choice when country-pop princess Taylor Swift invited rapper T.I. to perform with her onstage during a concert in Atlanta on her Speak Now 2011 World Tour. It was an unusual pairing—country's squeaky-clean, bubbly singer/songwriter duetting with a rapper who had just been released from prison two days earlier. His charges? Violation of parole and drug charges.

In a new clip from VH1's T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle, fans can see rapper and Taylor's first meeting, as they work out details of the performance for Taylor's cover of T.I.'s song "Live Your Life."

"It felt good to get such a warm reception from such a young audience," said T.I. “As a dinosaur in this industry, to have the leader of such a young audience call me and consider me to even come out there—that was flattering,” he says. Of course, that doesn't mean that T.I had no concerns about the performance. In the video below, he shared his greatest fear about performing with Taylor Swift: "My biggest thing walkin' onto the stage was 'Don't curse.' I can see the headline now—'T.I. corrupts the minds of 20,000 youngsters at Taylor Swift concert.' I don't need that look."
