Those Are Real Tears in Thompson Square’s New Music Video

Have you seen the super-intense video for Thompson Square's "If I Didn't Have You"?

Real-life couple Keifer and Shawna Thompson staged a fake car crash for the clip, and Keifer says it was easy to get emotional seeing his wife in a hospital bed. "When I'm sitting there looking at Shawna all beat to hell in bed and stuff, if you just take a moment just to think, 'If this was real,'" Keifer tells ABC News Radio.

Of course, it wasn't so easy to pull out tears when Shawna's body double was on set.

"We had to call in the onion for that," Keifer says.

As for Shawna, "Personally, I think I deserve an Oscar for my coma acting," she says, laughing. "I mean, no, I had it real easy that day."
