“That Thing You Do!” Guy Is in LBT’s “Tornado” Video

Little Big Town members call their new video “kinda creepy” with “a darker tone.”

We all know and love Little Big Town for jaunty tunes like "Pontoon" and "Boondocks."

But the group's latest, "Tornado," is a little more serious and intense, and the video reflects that. In fact, Karen Fairchild recently told reporters that the video is "kinda creepy."

And playing the kinda creepy villain is actor Johnathon Schaech, who played the lead singer of the fictional Wonders in the 1998 Tom Hanks movie That Thing You Do! You might also recognize Johnathon as the male lead in the Gwyneth Paltrow thriller Hush. (A side note: Johnathon was once married to country newcomer Jana Kramer.)

Yes, Johnathon plays the villain in the LBT video, but that apparently does nothing to take away from his looks, at least according to the ladies of Little Big Town.

After Jimi Westbrook calls Johnathon's character creepy, Kimberly Schlapman quickly adds, "But still very cute."

"I know," Karen says. "He's mean and hot at the same time, kinda like Phillip and Jimi."

"No," Karen adds, laughing, "they're sweet and hot."
