In 2007, Linda Clark was diagnosed with cancer. A statement on Terri’s website, terriclark.com, reads, “She is finally at peace and out of pain, our hearts are broken and we will miss her terribly.” Terri has always credited Linda for supporting her move to Nashville from her native Canada to pursue her dreams of country stardom. For a time, Terri moved back to Canada to help care for her mom after she was diagnosed. Terri’s most recent album, The Long Way Home, was released in 2009. Several songs from the album were inspired by her mother’s battle with cancer.
