Taylor Swift picked up a record-breaking third straight Artist of the Year trophy Sunday night (Nov. 24) at the American Music Awards.

It was one of four trophies, and that made Taylor the top winner of the night.

"It's a crazy thing to happen to you. Like, I never get used to it," Taylor told reporters backstage afterward.

"I legitimately black out. It's a scary thing 'cause I don't know what I'm saying, and then afterward I ask people, 'Like, like, did I, did I like, did . . . What happened?'"

Turns out Taylor's pretty eloquent when she blacks out. Here's what she told her fans after winning the top trophy.

"This validates that we are heartbroken the same way, and we fall in love the same way, and we are happy the same way. The fact that you would listen to my music means we're on the same page," she said.

"I'm 23, and I have no idea what's gonna happen to me in my life, but I figure, if you decided on something as wonderful as this, then we're pretty much in it together, aren't we?"

Taylor's buddies in Florida Georgia Line also took home an award, and Luke Bryan won favorite Male Artist–Country. Full list winners below.
