Taylor Swift Visits 10-Year-Old Cancer Patient in Nebraska

Taylor Swift made a dream come true Saturday (March 9) when she visited a 10-year-old fan in a children's hospital in Omaha, where Taylor opens her 2013 world tour Wednesday (March 13).

The Omaha World-Herald published a pic of the country star with Lauren Hacker in Lauren's room at Children's Hospital & Medical Center.

Lauren's friends took to social media to lobby Taylor to visit the girl. That included redoing the lyrics to Taylor's hit "You Belong With Me" and renaming it "Come See Lauren Please" and posting the lyric video to YouTube. If you could see that Lauren Hacker is a big fan / Has been all along / Why can't you see? / Come see Lauren please / Come see Lauren please, one of Lauren's friends sings.

Taylor even signed a guitar for Lauren's brother, Jonathan, before she left.

This isn't the first time Taylor has responded to an online campaign for a fan battling cancer: You might recall that last year Taylor tried to get together with Kevin McGuire for his prom.

Taylor invited Kevin instead to last year's Academy of Country Music Awards, but Kevin was too sick to travel when the day came along.
