Taylor Swift Sets a Sales Record for Shanghai Tour Stop

It’s no secret that the U.S. loves Taylor Swift. Actually it’s no secret that the world does, but it’s always a sweet surprise when we hear that Swifty has broken another record, which she just did very shortly after tickets went on sale for her May 30 show in Shanghai, China.

The city’s Mercedes-Benz arena sold out in one minute, making it the fastest ticket sellout in Chinese history. The show is one of seven stops on the Asian leg of Taylor’s Red Tour—all which have sold out in record speed. Additional performances take place in Tokyo, Japan; Jakarta, Indonesia; Manila, Phillipines; Bangkok, Thailand; Singapore; and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
