Taylor Swift is Seeing Red

Taylor Swift says “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”

Taylor Swift is seeing red and she hopes you will too because her new album will be named Red.

In a web chat Monday night (Aug. 13), Taylor announced that the new project will be in stores Oct. 22. Once again, she explores relationships on the album's 16 songs, but not just her own. She said, “When I’m writing an album, my world kind of becomes a big story board and everyone in it has the potential to become a character in it.” So, fellas, you've been warned. She also described the relationships as being “dysfunctional and not good, but when you write about them, it's good.” To drive the point home, she played the first single, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” which is now available on iTunes and Google Music.

Taylor fielded questions from the room, as well as online, including from one fan who asked about her cat, Meredith. She replied, "She's really good. She's just a cat...living in my apartment with me...traveling on airplanes...and playing fetch. I'm sure she'd really appreciate that question if she had any concepts of web chats."
