Taylor Swift Says HBO’s “Girls” Is Totally Relatable

OK, so we told you that Taylor Swift and Lena Dunham, the creator and star of HBO series Girls, are now Twitter buddies. Lena reveals that the two even DM one another. (For you non-tweeters, that means they send each other "direct messages" that no one else can see.)

Now, Taylor explains why she loves Girls, which follows the (fictional) lives of four 20-something girls living in New York City.

"Watching Girls is like listening to a song and going, 'That's exactly how I feel!'" she tells ABC News Radio. "You know, it's that relatability. It's so direct. It's so smart. Everybody knows someone like those characters. So, it's awesome."

The new season of Girls starts Sunday (Jan. 13).
